Coal Festival
The coal festival is like the best thing ever in Boone County, West Virginia, and everyone gets super stoked about it in June!
This year, it starts on June 17th, and I can’t stop thinking about it! Everyone’s been talking about how much fun they’re gonna have, even if they feel a little queasy from all the crazy rides. It’s just part of the experience, right?
You can usually find people singing and telling funny jokes on stage, which is always a blast! And don’t even get me started on the snow cones—they’re the ultimate treat when it’s hot outside. Seriously, I could eat a million of them!
The streets get super packed, so sticking with your friends is a must! You don’t want to get lost in the crowd because it gets wild. People come from all over West Virginia just to join in on the fun.
The rides are totally epic, with everyone raving about the zero-gravity ride and those mouse cage things. They look like so much fun, but just a heads-up—the lines are crazy long, so be prepared to wait a bit!
And OMG, the heat is no joke! You’ve gotta remember to drink lots of water so you don’t get super thirsty or tired. It can seriously be boiling hot out there, and nobody wants to feel sick when they’re trying to have a good time.
Just stay safe and enjoy everything the festival has to offer! I’m so ready for it; it’s gonna be legendary!
