So, when it comes to a good action-packed movie or a series of movies everyone has grown up on such as Batman, Star Wars, Terminator or any movie or show that revolves around mainly a protagonist and antagonist, everyone is going to have a favorite villain but when it comes down to the best, that title belongs to Darth Vader from the Star Wars series. Although characters like the Joker who is a villain who has an incredible back story and is a well written villain, there isn’t a villain like Darth Vader. I feel like a villain should be strong and worthy and have a reason they became a villain, and to make it even better, if they have a past connection with protagonist it just makes it so much better and more interesting. I enjoy movies with the “Unforgettable Villain”, and I feel like most movie series should. That’s why I feel like Mr. Skywalker is the best in the game. Anakin Skywalker’s impact on the Star Wars universe is felt throughout every single film, from The Phantom Menace to Rogue One. Also, Darth Vader has become even more popular with people than the heroes of the Star Wars universe itself, which is one of the many reasons that we have named him the greatest villain of all time. And Obi Wan being mt favorite and all, Sith Lord Vader is one of the best and coldest villains ever. His character was relatable enough to youthful growing pain and rebellious phase but not enough to outshine its fictional nature. One thing about Anakin that I’ve been waiting to talk about is his backstory. The devastation found in Anakin’s will to name and be known to himself as Darth Vader is that he betrayed himself. His forfeit of himself surrendered the capability of becoming great without having to concede to the Dark Side. His life was overall sad and devastating with the past pain and anger build from his mother’s death and the love of his life Padme’s death. On top of that his intense fight on Mustafar ended in Obi Wans favor with Anakin’s legs being severed and one of his arms being severed in one swipe and then getting 4th degree burns all over his body and speaking on his arm severed by Obi Wan, the other arm was severed by Count Dooku. Although Anakin had a rough past, the backstory and characteristics of the Sith Lord is what makes him such a good character. There is no other character like Darth Vader, and I doubt there ever will be.
