Laser Therapy

Lasers to treat cancer can work, and here is how. Laser therapy uses an extraordinarily strong and intense, narrow beam to remove or to destroy cancer and any of the other cells that can turn into cancer. Tumor cells absorb light of different wave lengths. Laser therapy is most often used to treat cancers and precancers on the surface of the body or the lining of internal organs. Lazer therapy can also be used to help with blockages and bleeding. Laser therapy is given through an endoscope, a narrow lighted tube used to look at tissues inside the body. It is inserted through an opening in the body, like the mouth and nose. Laser light is then precisely aimed to cut or destroy the tumor. Carbon dioxide can also be used to get rid of the tumor. Lazer therapy is normally better than surgery because it causes extremely less damage to the normal tissue when used in surgery. It also takes less time to heal and you more then likely will not get an infection like you would if you were to decide to have the surgery. My opinion on the Lazer therapy is good because whatever helps the person with cancer, goes away or gets better than that is good. It is also wonderful because it is not a surgery, so people do not have to worry about healing and things. You will have little to no side effects. It is still a type of surgery but uses light beams and not instruments. There are many different types of Lazer therapy. Some downsides of Lazer therapy are that few doctors have been trained on how it works, it is awfully expensive, and it might not last very long so the steps will need to be repeated many times before it actually works 100%. My opinion on this is in-between good and bad. This is because the good thing is that you would heal faster than if you were to get surgery. The dreadful thing is, I said a couple lines up that it might not always work, and you would need to do it repeatedly until you get better. Here are some types of cancer that Lazer therapy can help Vocal cord Cervical, Skin, Lung, and Vulvar. Over 4,000 studies demonstrated positive feedback from people who have received Lazer therapy. Lazer therapy is used for many other things and not only cancer. Lazars are often used for: Treat varicose veins. Improve vision during eye surgery on the cornea and repair a detached retina of the eye. If I had the option of Lazer therapy or surgery I would for sure pick the Lazer therapy. You may ask why you would pick that since it does not always 100% work and you would need it several times. I would rather have something 6 times have a 2-day recovery instead of having surgery and being out for months on end. Lazer therapy can also be used to help with any type of pain. It may be expensive but worth it in the long run.
