Spider-Man No Way Home Review

Being one of the most popular superheroes in the world, Spider-Man No Way Home was already set up to be a major success, but the epic plot twist brought more fans into theaters than thought possible. The newest film starring the iconic webslinger was released by Sony Pictures on December 17th, and stars English actor Tom Holland as the lead role of Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Marisa Tomei, Willam Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx in supporting roles. Jonathan Watts, who also directed Spider- Man Homecoming and Far from Home, returns to direct with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal who serve as producers.

The final film of the trilogy picks up where “Spider-Man: Far from Home” leaves off, where we see Peter Parker’s identity revealed to the world, along with a small, fabricated detail that he murdered Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in cold blood. His life is flipped upside down, leading to Parker asking Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for a magical resolve to his problems. The plan goes awry in spectacular fashion. Unwillingly, they affect the multiverse and bring dangerous and exciting new adversaries into their reality. With a phenomenal cast, dynamic fight scenes and visual effects, and a sense of comfort and nostalgia, as well as excitement, for Spider-Man fans, this may be one of the best movies that I have ever seen.

Tom Holland received the mantle of the iconic superhero in 2016, when he appeared as the character in Captain America: Civil War. This was the first time Spider-Man was introduced into the MCU and Tom Holland’s light and fun portrayal of the character was praised by the audience and many critics. Holland’s acting in No Way Home was beyond amazing and offers a new way to how we view Spider-Man as Marvel fans. No Way Home wouldn’t be complete without its supporting characters. Zendaya stars as Parker’s girlfriend MJ, and Jacob Batalon stars as his best friend, Ned Leeds. Zendaya and Batalon offer comedic relief and are a comfort character to many. One of the best aspects of the film though, is when we see William Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx reprise their roles as Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Electro from the different previous Spider- Man movies. No one expected to see them in the film, so you can imagine the excitement of Spider-Man fans when the trailer was released. These Spider-Man veterans bring the film up to a whole new level.

Marvel is known for its incredible CGI and its intense fight scenes. Spider-Man No Way Home is no exception. The special effects make it seem as if what you are watching is real and it really gives the audience the true experience. And the fight scenes? Each one kept the fans on the edge of their seats, wondering who the victor would be. Not only do we get to see Peter Parker’s incredible fighting and acrobatic skills, but we also get to see him use his brain and show off his intelligence.

One of the best things about the new Spider-Man is the sense of nostalgia and excitement the fans will film when watching this movie. Even the trailer was enough to send fans reminiscing about their childhood with the different Spider-Man characters. The amount of cheering and crying in the theaters was insane. I would recommend this movie mostly to Spider-Man fans, but fans of any superhero or action movies would enjoy this film. I would not recommend this movie to anyone who dislikes action films or hasn’t watched any Marvel or Spider-Man movies in the past.

I think this movie is going to be one of the biggest movies ever, and it is already on the rise. Spider-Man No Way Home is currently the 6th highest grossing movie ever. I think that we can expect to see the webslinger returning to the big screen very soon.
