Twenty One Pilots : Clancy Album (A Throwback Masterpiece)

It has certainly been a long time since Twenty one pilots uploaded an album, they promised that Scaled And Icy was going to be their last album and they stopped touring to spend time with their kids, But they are back and they are better than ever. This final album was released on May 24th, 2024, It didn’t really sell well due to the fact that everybody is digital now and doesn’t buy the albums physically anymore. The Cover art consists of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun is outfits that are dedicated to the story of their albums.

Twenty one Pilots decided to add story to their albums, to give their songs and music videos more life. It started with Trench, and worked it’s way up to Scaled and Icy, and Now Clancy, But before their rich story albums and videos. They were releasing, Regional at Best, Vessel and Their Debut Album Twenty One Pilots. Vessel and Twenty One Pilots albums both consist of songs concerning about Suicide awareness, Vessel’s Album cover is Of Tyler and Josh’s Grandfathers, the meaning behind the album cover said by Josh in a Interview was that their grandfathers represent a vessel, they’re holding something far more important than the outer shell.

Anyways, back to Clancy. Clancy consists of various songs and topics, Next Semester is a song about Tyler being afraid of school and he’s anxious, the drums represent sort of a heartbeat, the heart accelerating and decelerating, Towards the end of the song in the Music Video. Tyler is walking down the aisle between his crowd of fans, with a ukulele, a throwback to when he walked down the aisle during the Car Radio Music Video. Lavish is another song, it represents the high living of the wealthy, the music video consists of Josh and Tyler standing in front of a lot of random signs that have the lyrics to their songs. Vignette is being an addict and being ashamed of it, you can easily tell by some of the lyrics, I like to think this is somewhat a call back to An Addict With a Pen, an older song that Twenty One Pilots Released during 2009. The Craving is about Tyler being not that good at love, to the point he craves for the desire to be lovely for Jenna. Overcompensate is a very hefty one, you don’t really get much information in the Music Video, beside references and Easter eggs to his old songs. Within the Video, Tyler is dancing in a hallway with Josh slamming the drums to his hearts content, there are lights above them. 3 Lights are lit but the fourth ones out, Thats a reference to the same sentence from a lyric in The Judge by TOP. There’s also snippets and references to older Twenty One Pilot songs within the background of the song, you can hear “Welcome Back to Trench” Reference to their album.

Overcompensate has still a lot more that isn’t solved. Twenty One Pilots has serious dedication to keeping an concept and ideas of lore for their albums, they are dedicated to the works. Unfortunately, this is going to be their last album ever created. The two band members has children and a family life, which is lovely. After they are done touring, they go back to their ordinary life. I love this band since I was a little kid. I am now a 16 year old, typing articles day after day to get work done.

I guess this is the end of the article, I have nothing else to put.
