The Beatles are easily the most iconic band of all time, so it’s given that there will be films and biopics made about the four. There have been many made before, though it’s believed that it’s nearly impossible to perfect it, and far too expensive to put on screen. Though now in 2028 the Beatles are getting not one, but four feature films planned by Sony Pictures, dubbed “The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event”. The four films are set to be released all at once in April 2028.

The Beatles are iconic and crucial to music history, so it was given that some fans would be less than satisfied with the films once they come out. Though it seems the hard criticism of the fans has already started with the release of the cast list.

The films have Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

This cast list has been met with mixed reactions, with some fans simply showing concern about the actors’ physical resemblance to the real Beatles and their ages. While the actors are talented and promising, the fans say that they don’t quite capture the essence of the Fab Four.
